When I had my gallbladder removed in May 2025, I quickly learned that my digestion wasn’t quite the same. I experienced bloating and pain, and heavier, greasy foods didn’t sit well with me the way they used to. I honestly thought I might have to give up some of my favorite foods.
That led me to start researching. I wanted to understand what was happening in my body, explore ways to support my digestion, and compare product quality and prices before deciding what made sense for me.
That’s how I found my Wellness Store. GoodZymes and FiberWise were among the first products I chose, along with my women’s daily vitamins.
And my experience with those first two products is a big reason they remain part of my routine today.
GoodZymes: Supporting the Digestion Process
GoodZymes is a digestive enzyme supplement formulated to help break down components of food, including carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Digestive enzymes help turn food into smaller components that the body can absorb.
After my surgery, I was especially interested in supporting the digestion process because certain meals had become more challenging for me to tolerate.
While taking GoodZymes and FiberWise, the bloating and pain I had been experiencing went away. Eventually, I thought I was doing so well that I could stop buying them.
I felt fine, so I figured I didn’t need them anymore.
Well, within just a few DAYS of stopping, the bloating and pain returned!
That experience certainly got my attention. I resumed taking them, and both products have remained must-haves in my everyday wellness routine ever since.
FiberWise: Supporting Digestive Regularity
FiberWise is a fiber supplement designed to support digestive health and regularity. Certain types of soluble fiber can help make stools more formed, which may be helpful for people who experience loose stools.
Fiber also supports overall bowel function, but it’s important to increase supplemental fiber gradually because adding too much too quickly can cause gas and bloating.
GoodZymes and FiberWise serve different purposes, and neither replaces bile or restores the gallbladder’s function. I can share the difference I noticed while using these products, but I can’t promise another person will experience the same results.
My experience is personal, and it’s the reason I continue to include both products in my routine.
If you’ve had your gallbladder removed and are experiencing digestive discomfort, pay attention to your body’s patterns and consider discussing persistent or recurring symptoms with a healthcare professional. Digestive issues can have different causes, and ongoing pain shouldn’t automatically be attributed to gallbladder removal.
Learning to Support My Body in a New Way
Having my gallbladder removed didn’t mean I had to stop enjoying food or give up on feeling comfortable. It meant learning more about my body, paying attention to how I responded to different meals, and making informed choices about my everyday wellness.
For me, that included researching products, comparing quality and prices, and finding options that fit my needs.
I’m sharing my experience because I know other women may be navigating similar changes after surgery. You deserve to understand what’s happening in your body, explore your options, and make decisions that feel right for you.
And sometimes, the first step is simply getting curious enough to start asking questions.
